Wyandotte Sporting Fields Renamed to Compass Minerals Sporting Fields
As part of a multifaceted First Team partnership with Compass Minerals, Sporting Kansas City has formally announced new names for two world-class sports facilities in Kansas City, Kansas: Compass Minerals National Performance Center, formerly Pinnacle, and Compass Minerals Sporting Fields, formerly Wyandotte Sporting Fields.

The multi-year partnership launched in 2018 and saw Compass Minerals become Sporting Kansas City’s first sleeve sponsor ahead of the 2020 Major League Soccer season.

Compass Minerals National Performance Center, a $75-million facility that opened in 2018, serves as the state-of-the-art training home of Sporting Kansas City and a premier soccer destination for the development of players, coaches and referees at the youth through professional levels. Compass Minerals Sporting Fields, a $20-million complex that opened in 2017, boasts 12 playing fields across 52 acres as one of the Midwest’s top venues for youth sports.
